FOOTWEAR: Khombu wanted to reposition their footwear offering and
cultivate a brand image that would transcend the seasonal, hardcore nature
of the boot business. By developing an image realignment, Khombu helped to
position their brand as an all-season option for the entire family.
HLANG SOLUTION: H*Lang developed a creative campaign focused
around the new tagline "Explore More." Visuals were incorporated
of map backgrounds with snapshots placed over. This concept allows for flexibility
in seasons and targeted advertising in specific geographic locations. Additionally,
the creative gives Khombu the ability to illustrate a variety of potential
customers from children to teens to mid-aged adventure seekers sporting Khombu
footwear.
LEGS: The "explore more" concept was a basis for connecting
the core consumer to the rigors of outdoor, rugged footwear, but it also translated
into a life mantra that applied to exploring "the city" or "your
backyard" in Khombu footwear. Khombu shoes will take you to new places
- durable enough to accompany one on a hike but fashionable enough to brave
the city streets. The look and feel can easily translate from print to web
to in-store signage.
